Introduction
To set up Auto Withdrawal on ViaBTC, go to Assets → My Assets, select the coin, and configure a withdrawal destination. Complete the required security verification, then review the applicable minimum payment and choose a payout mode. Eligible withdrawals are processed automatically once daily during the 10:00–18:00 GMT+8 window, with no withdrawal fee.
Mining rewards being settled to a pool account is not the same event as a withdrawal being sent to a wallet. Settlement credits earnings to the account balance; Auto Withdrawal determines the eligible payout amount and processes it. For an external on-chain withdrawal, the transaction must then be confirmed on the relevant blockchain and recognized by the receiving wallet or exchange. Transfers to your own ViaBTC main or sub-account follow a different route and have no minimum-payment requirement, provided the withdrawal amount is greater than zero.
How to Set Up Auto Withdrawal
1. Select the coin and set the destination
Log in to your ViaBTC account and open Assets → My Assets. Select the coin you want to configure, then open its Auto Withdrawal address settings.
Choose the destination type:
- Withdraw to Address: an external blockchain address.
- Withdraw to Your ViaBTC Account: your own ViaBTC main account or sub-account.
Enter the correct destination details and complete the required security verification to save the address configuration. These destination types are distinct: external withdrawals are subject to the applicable minimum payment, while withdrawals to your own ViaBTC main or sub-account require only a positive withdrawal amount. See the official setup guide.
2. Review the minimum payment for external withdrawals
For an external destination, check the minimum payment shown for the selected coin. To adjust it, use the minimum-payment edit control, select the payment amount, and confirm the change. ViaBTC documents this separately from address setup in its minimum-payment guide.
The Help Center currently lists a BTC minimum payment of 0.001 BTC (100,000 satoshis). Confirm the value shown in your account before relying on it; minimums differ by coin, and your configured payout threshold may be higher.
3. Review and choose the payout mode
On the Auto Withdrawal settings page, choose Payout by Account Balance or Payout by Daily Earnings. The difference is how the eligible payout amount is calculated, as explained below.
Checks Before Using Auto Withdrawal
A short review can prevent avoidable delays:
- Confirm the coin being configured, since Auto Withdrawal settings are set per asset.
- Confirm that the destination supports the coin and, where relevant, the correct network.
- Check the receiving platform’s minimum deposit requirement. ViaBTC recommends setting the external payout threshold above that amount to avoid a withdrawal being processed successfully without being credited by the receiving platform.
- If external payouts may be infrequent, remember that ViaBTC’s saved on-chain payout destination becomes inactive after 90 consecutive days without a payment. This concerns the Auto Withdrawal configuration; it does not mean the underlying blockchain address expires.
These destination and inactivity rules are documented in the ViaBTC Auto Withdrawal guide.
When Auto Withdrawal Is Processed
Auto Withdrawal is a scheduled, free withdrawal mechanism. ViaBTC processes eligible withdrawals once daily between 10:00 and 18:00 GMT+8. This is the pool’s processing window, not a guarantee of when an external wallet or exchange will credit the transaction.
For external withdrawals, amounts that do not meet the applicable minimum-payment requirement remain in the account and continue to accumulate. For withdrawals to your own ViaBTC main or sub-account, the minimum-payment requirement does not apply, provided the withdrawal amount is greater than zero. See the official payment-time and eligibility rules.
Choosing a Payout Mode
ViaBTC offers two methods for calculating the amount paid in each Auto Withdrawal cycle.
Payout by Account Balance uses the full account balance at the time of payment.
Payout by Daily Earnings calculates the payout amount as the account balance minus the mining earnings settled on the payout day itself. Current-day settled earnings are reserved and are generally included in the following day’s calculation. For external withdrawals, if the calculated amount does not meet the applicable minimum-payment requirement, it continues to accumulate. See the official payout-mode guide.
| Mode | Amount evaluated | Timing consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Payout by Account Balance | Full account balance at the time of payment | Includes the balance available when the scheduled payout is processed |
| Payout by Daily Earnings | Account balance minus earnings settled on the payout day | Current-day settled earnings are reserved for a subsequent calculation |
For either mode, external withdrawals must meet the applicable minimum-payment requirement. Withdrawals to your own ViaBTC main or sub-account require a positive withdrawal amount but have no minimum-payment threshold.
Neither mode is universally preferable; the choice depends on whether a miner wants the payout based on the full available balance or wants same-day settled mining earnings excluded from that day’s calculation. If Revenue Sharing is enabled, outgoing revenue-sharing amounts are deducted first; Auto Withdrawal then proceeds only if the remaining amount satisfies the selected mode’s conditions.
Why an Expected Payout May Not Have Arrived
Possible reasons include:
- For an external withdrawal, the amount calculated under the selected payout mode did not meet the applicable minimum-payment requirement.
- The daily 10:00–18:00 GMT+8 processing window has not yet passed.
- Under Daily Earnings mode, the current day’s settled mining earnings were reserved and were not part of that day’s payout calculation.
- An external withdrawal has been sent but is still awaiting network confirmation.
- The receiving exchange or wallet applies its own deposit-crediting conditions, such as a required number of confirmations or a minimum deposit amount.
- A saved external payout destination became inactive after 90 consecutive days without a payment and needs to be configured again.
- A pool-side processing delay or payment issue requires further checking.
Check whether the withdrawal has been processed before attributing the delay to blockchain confirmation or the receiving platform. If the processing window has passed and the cause remains unclear, contact ViaBTC support through the Help Center.
For external withdrawals, a settled mining reward, a processed pool withdrawal, a broadcast on-chain transaction, and a credited deposit are separate events governed by different rules.
Maintaining the Configuration
Revisit the configuration after changing wallets, exchange accounts, or destination addresses. Periodically check the minimum payment shown for each coin and confirm that an infrequently used external payout destination remains active.
Users managing multiple ViaBTC accounts may also find Sync Settings, Multi-Account Comparison, and Change Records useful for managing Auto Withdrawal configurations. These are supplementary account-management features rather than required steps for a single-account setup.
FAQ
Does Auto Withdrawal send my mining rewards immediately once they are credited?
No. Mining rewards are first settled to the account balance under the applicable payment method. Auto Withdrawal calculates the eligible amount using the selected payout mode and processes eligible withdrawals once daily within the 10:00–18:00 GMT+8 window. External withdrawals must also meet the applicable minimum-payment requirement.
Is there a minimum amount required to withdraw BTC automatically?
For withdrawals to an external BTC address, yes. ViaBTC’s Help Center currently lists a minimum payment of 0.001 BTC. Confirm the threshold shown on your BTC Auto Withdrawal settings page, since your configured payout threshold may be higher.
Does the no-minimum rule apply to withdrawals to any wallet?
No. The exception applies only to Auto Withdrawal directed to your own ViaBTC main or sub-account, and the withdrawal amount must be greater than zero. External blockchain addresses remain subject to the applicable minimum-payment requirement.
Why doesn’t Payout by Daily Earnings include today’s mining rewards?
This mode calculates the payout amount as the account balance minus mining earnings settled on the payout day itself. Those current-day earnings are reserved and generally enter the following day’s calculation rather than being excluded permanently.
What happens if my configured payout address is unused for a long time?
ViaBTC’s documentation states that a saved external on-chain payout destination becomes inactive after 90 consecutive days without a payment. If you have long accumulation periods, periodically check your Auto Withdrawal configuration and configure the destination again if needed. The underlying blockchain address does not expire because of this setting.
